Hot Springs Community Learning Center is incredibly thankful for the generosity of individuals in the community and all around the world, who help provide the children with a meaningful education and day time care in several areas.

#1 Our General Fund In addition to the monthly income and expenses budget that we prepare, we have a General Fund that helps provide the funding for the following eventual purchases: a new fire alarm system, proper shelving and furniture, food preparation equipment, and the Yard Plan. Our Bake Sales and holiday events have been wonderful and our community has been so generous with donations. We have really been able to stretch these funds. Amazingly, we opened the doors in September of 2008 on just $6000. This is the fund that can stretch your donated dollars the furthest during these beginning years. We can find deals and shop for the exact items we still need. To contribute in this way would be especially WONDERFUL.

#2 Our Scholarship Fund In order to be an exceptional learning environment in a economically depressed rural mountain area, we feel it is important that this service be AFFORDABLE for everyone. To ensure that all children have the opportunity to be enriched by this wonderful educational and developmental opportunity, we have created a scholarship program to aid those in need of financial assistance. To make the most of the time and energy of our community, we have added the recipient task piece which involves families who receive the scholarship funds doing Center related tasks that allow us to keep our costs down.
State funding is in serious jeopardy. Where DSS child care subsidy originally covered 60% of our assistance, we are down to less than 15% at this time with promises of coming cuts. Please help us help our families in need.
Just contributing $10 per month is a wonderful way to support this program! So far over a dozen people have pledged at least $10 per month. *Remember: it's tax deductible!

#3By providing an item (or two) from our wish lists
The Wish Lists were created to help us attain the quality supplies that we don't yet have to create a rich environment for the children who will spend their time here, and our parents dream ideas for a warm environment. Each of the items are approved and rated for Child Care Centers. You can choose to donate any of the items on the list gently used, homemade, ORpurchased new from below
