2011-2012 School Year Visiting Volunteers
Community Visitors Individuals who are 'experts' in a variety of areas (Science, Story-Telling, wood working, dance, music, art, movement arts, etc.) come to HSCLC and share their gifts and talents with our Learning Community. They simply prepare and lead a lesson that helps us learn a little more about them and their area of expertise: read a story, play some music, lead a craft, project or movement activity. This is a super successful piece of our programs allowing us to connect and expand through our community.
Schedule Options for Community Visitors:
- To work with our Preschool Program (ages 3-5 yrs old) > 10:15 am - 11:00 am
- To work with our After School Program (ages 5-12 yrs old) > 4:15 pm - 4:45 pm
We host a Musician of the Month and an Artist of the Month and we feature their projects at our Summer Camp Benefit on Memorial Day weekend each year. Think about it..... it's an amazing experience!
