and 1 miler *for the kids under 6 and those who want to take it easy

Registration opens at 8 am
Kids Race begins at 9 am
Adults Race to follow shortly thereafter
*Volunteers will be present to hang out and play games with the participating kids while the adults run. Then we will all enjoy the awards presentation together when the 5K is finished.

The race begins on the French Broad River bridge
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Race starts at the French Broad River Bridge (directly on the Appalachian Trail) and travels along the river on River road, turns back and finishes at the Hot Springs Spa Resort Rockery.
AWARDS:
Aside from the amazing feeling of completing a beautiful spring run and
supporting a fantastic cause for the children of Madison County, NC, we
will be giving 6 awesome gift baskets donated by area local businesses
to the 1st place Female runner, 1st Place Male runner 18 - 50 years
old, 1st Place over 50, 1st place under 6, 1st place 7 - 12, and 1st
place 12 - 17 winners .
