Home School Resources at HSCLC
*In the 2008 - 2009 school year season, HSCLC created and implemented their Home School Supplement Program for 5 - 6 year olds.  Although extremely successful, we will not be continuing this program due to funding and space.

Lending Library
Several of the staff at HSCLC are either current or former home school parents and have prepared a fine library of resources from curriculum to testing and everything in between.  Please come peruse, and / or share!  The staff are also available for consultation by appointment, free of charge.

Come Together

#1 After School Program
Home Schoolers are invited to join us and the elementary school children for our  After School Program.  Click the link for more info.  This is a wonderful way to get to know your community as the children come together for games, art projects, theater productions, fun, healthy snacks, and more.  The staff are excellent facilitators of community spirit where ALL are welcome.

#2  Holidays and Celebrations

  • We explore and celebrate a wide variety of holidays throughout the year together. It depends on the group we have as to which direction we open the scope. Since our goal is to get to know who our community is, we look to learn how to celebrate in all our ways!  Please call to inquire about the current calendar of events; you and your family are welcome to attend our celebrations.

#3 Theater Productions

  • Throughout the year the children will explore a variety of visual performing arts such as singing, playing instruments, and movement. Mid Spring we create and perform a theatrical production for all the community to enjoy.  Home Schoolers are welcome to join us for these events as spectators or performers.  *See After School Program

#4 Field Trips & Service Projects

  • Madison County is full of wonderful places to visit and serve.   There are farms,  art galleries, trails and more!   And there is so much we can do to add to the quality of this planet. Our eventual goal is to make the last Friday of each month a field trip that ties together the seasonal theme.  Simply call our office or visit the web site to view up coming trips, and know that your family is more than welcome to join with an accompanying parent.
